Ingredients:
- 2 large onions, cut into quarter-inch slices
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 pack of bread crumbs
- salt to taste
- 3 cups vegetable oil
Directions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep-fryer.
Separate the onion slices into individual rings and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs and milk until fluffy. Then pour into the flour mix.
Mix the batter until consistent.
Dunk the onion slices into the batter until generously coated.
On a large plate, roll the battered onion slices onto breadcrumbs until covered evenly.
Deep fry the rings in batches, for about 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Drain excess oil on a wire rack or use paper towels.
Season with salt and serve with your favorite dip.
