Ingredients:
- 8 apples – peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup butter (unsalted)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 recipe pastry
Directions:
In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add in flour and mix well until consistent.
Add water, brown sugar, and white sugar. Keep stirring until liquid starts boiling.
Cover the pan, turn off stove and let sit.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F for 10 minutes.
Place the bottom crust in your pan then line with apples.
Sprinkle cinnamon powder evenly over apples.
Evenly pour the flour and sugar liquid mixture (be careful because liquid is still hot).
Place lattice work crust on top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes in an over preheated oven to 400 degrees F.
Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F and continue for another 30 to 40 minutes.
