Prawn Cucumber Canape


  • 200 grams of fresh prawns, peeled and cooked
  • spring onions, finely chopped
  • cucumbers, sliced into 1-ich segments
  • 1/2 cup lite mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp wasabi powder
  • 3 tbsp water
  • some chives for garnishing
  • ground black pepper

Dissolve wasabi powder in water until it forms into a mildly-runny paste.
Combine wasabi paste with lite mayonnaise and spring onions. Mix well.
Using a teaspoon or scoop, place a gob of the wasabi-mayo onto a cucumber slice.
Rest a piece of prawn on top of the mayo. The mayo should hold the prawn and keep it from sliding off.
Sprinkle with some chives and black pepper.
Assemble the rest by repeat the same steps.
Serve on a large plate or tray.
